On Thursday November 16, 2023, MassRobotics was an invited guest of Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), the Korea Planning & Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT), and the chairman of the Global Robotics Cluster for the Korea-US Advanced Industry Joint R&D Conference. MassRobotics attended to sign a tripartite agreement to solidify technology cooperation in advanced industries between Korea and the United States.

Attending the signing were: Mr. Bang-gyu Bang, Minister of Trade, Industry, and Energy (MOTIE), and Dr. Yoonjong Chun, President of Korea Planning & Evaluation of Industrial Technology(KEIT) & Kim Chang-ho, Chairman of the Global Robotics Cluster, and other leaders in robotics technology development & research. The event also included presentations on cutting edge technologies from robotics startups from the US & Korea; with Tom Ryden, MassRobotics Executive Director, providing a keynote address on the current state and future of robotic technology. 

The event was a celebration of the work being done between MassRobotics and Korea to advance robotics and other critical technologies, and was an important step in ensuring that progress in world changing systems continues.
