MassRobotics held a Robotics Engineering Career Fair to help introduce job seekers to opportunities in the fields of robotics and AI/machine learning. This Career Fair was co-located with the Robot Summit and Expo, an international engineering conference and exposition specifically designed for those developing the commercial-class robotics systems. The Summit and Expo attracted over 1500 registrants, including a wide variety of technical levels, ranging from engineering students to technical and seasoned professionals.
The career fair took place immediately following the summit on June 6th at the Seaport World Trade Center. The event provided a steady flow of job seekers (nearly 300 registered in advance) and provided an environment for face-to-face discussion with leading robotics and AI/Machine learning companies offering employment opportunities and career path advice. In addition to technically focused opportunities in engineering, computer vision, and mechatronics, several of the companies have openings in sales, product management and other non-technical positions they are looking to fill.
Several of our MassRobotics partners participated, as well as smaller startups to provide a variety of positions. Participating companies included: Humatics, Locus Robotics, SMC, The Mathworks, Harmonic Drive, Optimus Ride, FBR, AeroVironment, Piaggio Fast Forward, Johnson & Johnson, Neya Systems, Energid, Universal, Digital Alloys, RightHand Robotics, Smith & Nephew & QinetiQ North America. We look forward to hosting additional events in the future.
