MassRobotics brought 250 students hands-on STEM experiences over five days during MA STEM Week 2024. The week kicked off at Cambridge’s Microsoft NERD (New England Research and Development) Center. Seventy 7th-grade students from Tech Boston spent the day with Microsoft employees learning the foundations of computer programming, exploring the possibilities of Fabrication Labs in the “Garage,” and learning about career possibilities in tech-related companies.
We hosted two classes per day throughout the week to learn about robotics and programming in the MassRobotics STEM lab. Students were exposed to concepts that drive industry robots, like Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). Students used their programming skills to solve a robotics challenge.
Massachusetts STEM Week reached beyond the state’s borders as students from Texas and New York had the opportunity to experience the STEM excellence that MassRobotics offers.
A big thank you to the numerous organizations participating in STEM week across the state – you are why Massachusetts remains at the forefront of STEM education.
