The market for robotic enabled solutions is exploding and many of our robotics ecosystem partners and startups are working hard to fill open positions. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, it is estimated that there are currently 132,500 robotics engineers in the United States. Projections show a nine percent job market growth from 2016 through 2026.
“We’ve seen a tremendous uptick in job opportunities from robotics and AI companies across New England and the pandemic has advanced the adoption of robotics across many fields and companies must staff up to fulfill demand,” said Tom Ryden, MassRobotics Executive Director.
To support the needs of the ecosystem, we teamed with MassTLC to host a virtual career fair for those interested in careers in the robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) fields. This targeted event was designed for technical industry jobseekers, including both recent graduates and seasoned engineers, computer scientists, vision specialists, mechatronics experts, data scientists, AI professionals and others seeking career opportunities with companies delivering hardware and software solutions within the robotics and AI industries.
The Premiere Virtual platform used during the Career Fair allowed job seekers to easily navigate from room to room, view available job postings and visit with representatives from the robotics and AI companies. Both “chat” and video options were available.
Thanks to these 21 hiring companies for participating:
We were impressed by the number of high qualified recent graduates and experienced candidates. We wish the new graduates looking to start their careers luck in finding opportunities that are available in both the startup community as well as larger enterprise robotics companies.
Here is the event summary report.
We are looking forward to hosting another career fair in October. Stay tuned!
